Advanced & Level 2 Seminars: Up Your Game

Take your skills to the next level with ART Level 2 and Nerve Seminars. Level 2 Seminars focus on restoring motion between multiple structures and adjacent tissues, enabling providers to treat a broader range of soft-tissue and complex conditions. The ART Nerve Seminar teaches providers to relieve pressure from surrounding muscles, connective tissue, or fascia, addressing nerve entrapments and dysfunctions throughout the body with precision.

Who is Eligible

Nerve: Providers must complete ART Full Body Level 1 (Lower Extremity, Spine, and Upper Extremity) before enrolling
Level 2: Providers must complete the corresponding Level 1 seminar. While completing all Level 1 seminars and Nerve is not required before enrolling in Level 2, it is generally recommended.

Upper Extremity Level 2

ART Upper Extremity Level 2 deepens clinical intuition by teaching practitioners to recognize and correct dysfunctions in the interactions between adjacent tissues using ART's Diagnostic Algorithm and 90 protocols. As with Level 1, focus will be on dysfunctions of the hands, wrists, arms, and shoulders.

Lower Extremity Level 2

ART Lower Extremity Level 2 teaches practitioners refined palpation techniques, that help identify the interplay between adjacent tissues and restore proper movement and function in the feet, ankles, legs, knees, and hips. Attendees enhance their clinical ability to detect and treat soft-tissue dysfunctions using ART's Diagnostic Algorithm and the 72 manual protocols.

Spine Level 2

ART Spine Level 2 uses 76 protocols, to address conditions such as chronic back pain, headaches, vertigo, and concussion symptoms, taking Level 1 learnings and applying to the relative motion of multiple structures in the head, neck, back, torso, and spinal structures.

Nerve

ART Nerve seminars train participants to detect and treat nerve entrapments throughout the body. Attendees review nerve anatomy, neurodynamics, and neuropathology headaches, carpal tunnel syndrome, sciatic pain, and other dysfunctions. Participants will learn 90 manual protocols that address local, terminal, and long tract nerve issues, building on their understanding of Upper and Lower Extremity and Spine Level 1 techniques.

Active Diagnosis

ART Active Diagnosis provides instruction and training covering manual protocols that treat soft-tissue dysfunctions. From carpel tunnel syndrome to frozen shoulder, plantar fasciitis to hip bursitis, and decreased range of motion to post-operation rehabilitation, the clinical application of our system is broad and powerful.

The SFMA is a clinical assessment for those who experience pain. It is a movement based diagnostic system which systematically finds the cause of pain - not just the source - by logically breaking down dysfunctional movement patterns in a structured, repeatable assessment.

What to Expect

Seminar Overview

ART seminars provide evidence-based instruction of the necessary skills to detect and treat soft-tissue anomalies and dysfunctions all around the body. Throughout the seminar, attendees review muscle and soft tissue, and how to evaluate and appropriately treat the disorders using the ART Diagnostic Algorithm and the area specific manual protocols. ART protocols can be used to treat a broad list of dysfunctions, including chronic pain, headaches, TMJ, vertigo, concussion symptoms, and other soft-tissue dysfunctions.

Learning Objectives

  • Recite the four basic components of ART treatment protocols.
  • Summarize the cellular response to ART treatment on soft-tissue structures.
  • Compare healthy and unhealthy tissue utilizing hands-on palpation techniques.
  • Identify a muscle or soft-tissue texture, tension, movement and function through palpation and patient assessment.
  • Palpate anatomical soft-tissue structures using an appropriate tension, depth, and motion to properly perform the treatment protocol.

Delivery Format and Method of Instruction

ART provides a hybrid learning model with online modules and in-person training. Attendees are expected to complete online preparatory materials consisting of a review of gross anatomy, explanations of the ART Diagnostic Algorithm, treatment methodology, protocol instructions, and a pre-credentialing exam. During the in-person portion of the seminar, attendees work alongside instructors and other attendees to practice palpation and treatment protocols. After completing the online modules and 15 hours of in-person training, attendees will demonstrate their skills through a practical exam to determine if they meet the minimum requirements to use ART treatment in a clinical setting.

Preparing for your Seminar

ART seminars require an intermediate-to-expert understanding of musculoskeletal anatomy. We suggest that providers register at least four to six weeks in advance to allow time for self-study of the seminar curriculum materials. In addition, we highly recommend that student attendees complete at least one semester of gross anatomy prior to attending a seminar.

You can set yourself up for success by refreshing or advancing your understanding of musculoskeletal anatomy, including origin, insertion, action, and nerve innervation before your seminar. In addition to seminar curriculum materials, Thieme's Atlas of Anatomy is useful as a reference and study guide for all ART seminars.

CEU Information

ART's Upper Extremity Level 2, Spine Level 2, Lower Extremity Level 2, and Nerve seminars are eligible for 22.5 Contact Hours.

It is the responsibility of any potential registrant and/or attendee to ensure approval of any continuing education course and understand their specific state/board guidelines. Please check the CEU information on the specific seminar page you are interested in attending to see which states have board preapproval for CE credits. If you do not see your state, province, or discipline listed on your seminar page, please contact ART at info@activerelease.com. so we may determine whether approval is possible.

Attendees must achieve a score of at least 70% on both the written pre-credentialing exam and the in-person practical exam at the seminar and must be present for the full instructional portion to successfully complete the seminar and earn ART certification.
