Description

ART Active Diagnosis provides instruction and training covering palpation and manual protocols that treat soft tissue dysfunctions. From carpal tunnel syndrome to frozen shoulder, plantar fasciitis to hip bursitis, and decreased range of motion to post-operation rehabilitation, the clinical applications of our system are broad and powerful.

Selective Functional Movement Assessment (SFMA) is Functional Movement System's (FMS) clinical assessment for those who experience pain. It is a movement-based, diagnostic system that systematically finds the cause of pain – not just the source – by logically breaking down dysfunctional movement patterns in a structured, repeatable assessment.

ART Active Diagnosis, partnered with SFMA Level 1, teaches attendees how to use the SFMA breakouts to get to the area where an issue is occurring ART palpation and Active Diagnosis identify the precise tissue(s) involved. Then, providers can quickly diagnose, treat, and restore function by utilizing ART's powerful soft-tissue and nerve treatment techniques.

Because ART Active Diagnosis is linked to SFMA Level 1, and will reference SFMA instruction and tools, attendees are strongly encouraged to be SFMA Level 1 certified or attend the SFMA Level 1 course offered in conjunction with ART Active Diagnosis. Please click here to learn more and register for the SFMA Level 1 in Colorado Springs, CO, from November 6–7, 2025.
